Senior Platform/SRE Engineer (Finance/Fintech)

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Platform/SRE Engineering Lead to collaborate directly with our CTO. Your mission is to elevate our AWS infrastructure from startup-grade to meet the rigorous standards of enterprise financial services. You will have full responsibility for ensuring platform reliability, enhancing our security posture, and designing a scalable architecture.

Responsibilities

• Direct CTO Partnership: Lead strategic decisions on infrastructure and compliance roadmaps.
• Complete Infrastructure Ownership: Redesign AWS architecture utilizing industry best practices.
• Financial Services Complexity: Support 24/5 trading operations with strict SLA and compliance standards.
• Green-Field Optimization: Apply enterprise-grade practices to optimize existing infrastructure.
• Business-Critical Impact: Prepare infrastructure for Series A readiness through maturity and scalability enhancements.
• Financial-Grade AWS Architecture: Transform AWS into a compliant, secure, multi-environment system.
• Real-Time Trading Infrastructure: Optimize for sub-second market data processing and execute trading requirements.
• Observability & Compliance: Design monitoring systems with proactive alerting and meet fintech regulatory requirements.
• Cost & Performance Optimization: Optimize AWS costs while maintaining performance, using infrastructure as code for deployment consistency.

Required Skills

• 8+ years in platform engineering, with 3+ years focused on financial services infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with AWS in financial services, including compliance, security, and high-availability.
• Proven expertise in real-time systems supporting high-frequency trading and low-latency applications.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and containerization for financial applications.
• Practical experience with financial compliance standards like SOC 2 and PCI.
• Strong technical proficiency in AWS Services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway), container orchestration (ECS/Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Experience with observability platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.

• Experience in trading platform or financial services infrastructure architecture.
• Multi-region deployment expertise for 24/5 financial services operations.
• Knowledge in financial data security, including encryption and secure data handling.
• Experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning specific to financial services.
