Senior Or Lead Php Developer - FT - NA, LATAM, EU

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior or Lead PHP Developer to join our team. This role involves leading the development of robust and scalable web applications using PHP, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end.

While this position is primarily remote, some occasional travel may be required (see details below).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development of web applications using PHP, ensuring code quality and adherence to industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in PHP development.
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficient in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Experience in leading a team of developers or managing projects.
• Knowledge of database management systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Travel Requirements

This role may require occasional travel to our offices located in the US (New York, New Jersey, Mountain View, CA) or Dublin, Ireland, during critical crunch periods. These visits wouldn’t be full workdays, but rather focused sessions to observe workflows and provide recommendations on improvements through technology and automation. The visit may vary between a couple of weeks to a month.
