Senior Odoo Data Migration Specialist — PT (APAC/EMEA)

Role Overview

Ivory Egg is seeking a highly skilled Senior Odoo Data Migration Specialist to lead the migration of data from several legacy platforms into Odoo v18. This critical project is a part of our broader systems transformation, aimed at supporting smart-building and home-automation technology distribution. The role involves end-to-end data migration, preserving complex data relationships, and working closely with internal teams and our Odoo implementation partner.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze data structures from legacy systems such as Spree, Brightpearl, Salesforce, and others.
• Define and implement data mappings from these source systems to Odoo v18.
• Clean, normalize, and deduplicate both master and transactional data.
• Preserve complex relationships among customers, products, orders, invoices, inventory, payments, and related records.
• Develop and execute repeatable migration scripts, ETL processes, or structured data-loading workflows.
• Conduct staged test migrations, addressing any data-quality or mapping issues.
• Validate migrated records and reconcile them against source systems by comparing record counts, balances, and transaction totals.
• Document the migration logic, assumptions, exceptions, and validation results thoroughly.
• Support the production cutover and perform post-migration verification to ensure seamless data transition.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the UK and Australia and coordinate with the Odoo implementation partner to ensure accurate data loading.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in completing at least one end-to-end data migration into Odoo.
• Hands-on experience with Odoo v18 or recent experience with Odoo v17.
• Expertise in migrating both master and transactional data, with a strong understanding of Odoo data models and relationships.
• Experience in consolidating data from multiple systems while maintaining relational integrity.
• Proficiency in data cleansing, deduplication, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Ability to create or manage repeatable migration workflows using Python, SQL, APIs, ETL tools, or similar methods.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and meticulous attention to data accuracy.
• Capacity to work independently within a business-critical project environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data migration from Salesforce, Brightpearl, or Spree.
• Familiarity with multi-company Odoo environments and phased ERP rollouts.
• Background in accounting, inventory, sales, or e-commerce migrations.
• Understanding of custom connectors and cross-system identifiers.
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams across various time zones.
