Senior .Net Backend Engineer (FT-WW)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Backend Engineer to accelerate the development of our innovative web-based real estate investment platform. This platform empowers subscribed investors to discover, evaluate, and analyze real estate opportunities by leveraging data aggregation, enrichment, property valuation, and market trend analysis. As part of our team, you will work closely with the founder to enhance the existing codebase, refine the architecture, and implement new functionalities in a dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and enhance an existing .NET and C# codebase.
• Design and implement scalable backend services and application features.
• Improve the platform’s architecture, reliability, and maintainability.
• Develop and sustain data aggregation, enrichment, and processing workflows.
• Handle structured and semi-structured data in HTML, XML, and JSON formats.
• Extract data from web pages using HTML structures and CSS selectors.
• Develop and optimize database models, queries, and application logic using Entity Framework and PostgreSQL.
• Build and maintain asynchronous workflows using RabbitMQ.
• Implement and optimize caching strategies using Redis.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the application and data-processing pipeline.
• Review, test, and refine AI-generated code before production deployment.
• Collaborate with the founder on technical priorities, trade-offs, and delivery planning.
• Contribute to technical documentation and uphold high standards for code quality.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in developing production applications using .NET and C#.
• Proficiency with Entity Framework or Entity Framework Core.
• Strong skills in PostgreSQL, including database design and query optimization.
• Experience in designing and maintaining backend architecture for complex web applications.
• Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or similar message-queue technologies.
• Experience with distributed caching using Redis.
• Solid understanding of HTML, XML, and JSON structures.
• Proficiency in data extraction or processing using HTML elements and CSS selectors.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and architectural decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently in a startup environment.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools while critically reviewing and validating generated code.

Nice to Have

• Experience with web scraping, browser automation, or large-scale data extraction.
• Experience building data ingestion, enrichment, or ETL pipelines.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, background workers, or event-driven architecture.
• Experience optimizing applications that process high volumes of external data.
• Experience with subscription-based SaaS platforms.
• Background in early-stage startup or founder-led engineering environments.
• Knowledge of real estate, financial analysis, valuation tools, or investment platforms.

Real estate industry experience is not required, but strong technical skills and architectural expertise are essential. You should be adept at navigating and improving an existing platform and comfortable using modern AI development tools while maintaining high code quality.
