Senior Native Mobile App Developer (Swift, Kotlin) - Part-time - EMEA/APAC

Overview

We’re looking for a senior, hands-on native mobile developer to maintain and evolve a large portfolio of production mobile applications. This is a freelance, long-term role working directly with the founder and client stakeholders on ongoing app development, maintenance, and platform updates.

You’ll take ownership of multiple native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) apps that share common codebases, ensuring they stay compliant with Apple and Google requirements and continue to evolve smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) applications
• Own production work across multiple apps with shared codebases
• Implement updates required by Apple App Store and Google Play policies
• Collaborate via Slack with the founder, designers, and client stakeholders
• Work from clearly defined backlogs and tickets with minimal supervision
• Ensure clean, efficient, and maintainable native code
• Occasionally support small UI tweaks or prototypes (designs provided)

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as a native mobile developer
• Strong expertise in:
  *iOS (Swift)
  *Android (Kotlin)
• Proven experience maintaining and scaling production mobile apps
• Comfortable working independently and owning delivery
• Experience working in fixed-hour, time-boxed freelance engagements
• Strong communication skills and reliability

• Basic experience using Figma for small UI adjustments or prototyping
