Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS, Android) - Overlap with EST

Role Overview

Our Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile Engineer specializing in Flutter to join our bid for a national social security institution project in the Caribbean. The project involves developing a robust citizen and employer mobile app for iOS and Android, including backend services. This is a strategic role where you will own the app development process, ensuring high-quality, secure, and efficient mobile solutions.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve all app changes produced by AI agents, maintaining a clean and well-tested code base with at least 80% unit test coverage.
• Implement secure session handling, including OpenID Connect login with PKCE, biometrics, secure storage, and certificate pinning.
• Design adaptive layouts for phones and tablets, ensuring accessibility features such as large text support, screen readers, and contrast enhancements.
• Conduct device and OS compatibility testing and manage App Store and Google Play releases using the client’s developer accounts.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in building mobile apps used in production.
• Experience in app store deployment, Git, and mobile performance optimization.
• Proven expertise in API integration and mobile app architecture.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to Have

• Demonstrated experience with at least one live app in both app stores, ideally in sectors like banking, payments, government, or insurance, with store links provided.
• Native iOS/Android knowledge.
• Strong understanding of OWASP MASVS/MASTG, Play Integrity, and App Attest.
• Experience with push notifications (APNs/FCM) and AI coding agents.
