We are seeking a Senior Game Developer / Technical Architect to lay the groundwork for a narrative-driven game by developing a robust and scalable foundation. This role emphasizes creating modular systems that empower non-programmer designers to independently create and iterate on game content.
Responsibilities
- Design a clean and scalable architecture tailored for narrative-driven games.
- Develop data-driven systems to handle dialogue, quests, and state management efficiently.
- Prioritize simplicity, usability, and long-term maintainability in system design.
- Focus on developing tools and workflows that facilitate designer autonomy and creativity.
- Ensure the system allows for the creation of dialogue, branching narratives, simple quests, and progression controls without the need for coding.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in game systems architecture.
- Ability to build tools and pipelines that are designer-friendly.
- Strong focus on avoiding overengineering and unnecessary complexity.
Nice to Have
- Experience with the Godot game engine.
