Senior Fullstack Engineer (NextJS, Prisma) - PT/FT - WW

Groundswell is a venture-funded startup developing a new product to help companies develop first-party user ecosystems around their products. Whether it's templates, workflows, consulting, training, or support, we allow users to monetize their expertise.

The Role

We’re seeking a senior full-stack engineer who can take ownership of our stack from end to end, designing and building key features while helping set our technical direction. We’re in the early stages of developing a technical product to bring to market, and as our third team member, you’ll not only write high-impact code but also play a pivotal role in our technology strategy, iterating rapidly and laying down the foundations of our future engineering culture. If you’re someone who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and can turn high-level ideas into reality without waiting for detailed specs, this could be the role for you.

Tech Stack

Our stack is optimized for rapid development and deployment:

• Frontend: Next.js, hosted on Vercel, giving us flexible SSR and a smooth development experience.
• Backend: Prisma as our ORM, connected to a Postgres database hosted on Supabase, enabling a robust and scalable data layer.

What You’ll Do

• Full-Stack Development: Design, build, and deploy scalable web applications, as well as handling the data modeling and API layers to support it.
• Product Development: Transform high-level ideas into well-defined features, delivering iterative improvements and pushing for high user impact.
• Quick Experimentation: Build and iterate on prototypes, ensuring we can quickly validate ideas and deliver meaningful features to users.

What We’re Looking For

• Startup Mindset: You’re motivated by the challenge of building something from scratch and can pivot quickly based on user feedback and market changes.
• Expertise in Our Stack: Having experience in a Next.js is a strong bonus, but don’t hesitate to apply if you use another React framework!
• Autonomous Problem Solver: You’re comfortable with ambiguity, figuring out solutions independently, and iterating on them until they work.
• Hands-On Technical Skill: 5+ years of full stack experience, ideally with a focus on delivering production-ready features in small teams or early-stage startups.
