We are building a comprehensive AI-powered Financial Dashboard — a Vertically Integrated Financial Operating System that unifies Assets, Liabilities, Cash Flow, Credit, Insurance, and Lending opportunities into one intelligent platform. Our mission is to help working Americans and businesses achieve financial freedom by reducing liabilities, optimizing cash flow, and accessing better financial products.

Why This Role is Critical

We are looking for our first hardcore engineer — Employee #1 — who will serve as our technical lead and eventually grow into a leadership position as we scale.

Based on our recent technical audit, we have:
• A solid backend architecture (Node.js + Express + MongoDB) with clean Service-Controller-Route patterns
• Critical integrations (Plaid, Array, Twilio, Firebase, Socket.io) that are partially implemented but need completion and hardening
• A React Native mobile app that needs optimization and seamless backend connectivity
• Approximately 30 working days of focused development to reach TestFlight readiness

• Financial fragmentation
• Lack of personalized real-time financial intelligence
• High volume of liabilities & low volume of assets
• Financial mismanagement and inefficient access to financial products
• Credit risk misunderstanding and low fiscal optimization

What You'll Work On (Phase 1 – Next 4-6 Weeks)

You will take full ownership of finishing and stabilizing our React Native mobile app and Node.js backend. Your focus areas will include:

Core Infrastructure & Integrations
• Complete and harden Plaid API integration (account linking, webhooks, transactions, investments, recurring bills)
• Complete Array.io integration for credit monitoring and identity protection
• Implement secure OTP generation system (replacing hardcoded 123456) and complete Twilio SMS flow
• Implement proper error handling and centralized error reporting
• Strengthen webhook infrastructure for production-level reliability

Dashboard Features & Data Allocation
• Finalize financial modules in the dashboard: Assets, Liabilities, Bank Accounts, Debt Management, Savings Tracker, Investments
• Complete Budgeting Tracker, Subscription Tracker, Monthly Cashflow, Upcoming Bills Calendar
• Ensure proper data allocation and calculation logic for all financial data from Plaid APIs
• Integrate Array embedded web components (Credit Overview, Identity Protection, Privacy Protection, Student Loan Aid, Build Credit Rent)

AI/ML Integration
• Add receipt upload functionality (camera + gallery)
• Implement AI/OCR for transaction categorization and matching

Mobile App & Production Readiness
• Optimize React Native mobile UI and ensure seamless backend connectivity
• Fix authentication flows and improve profile management
• Prepare production builds for TestFlight + Android Internal Testing

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Strong Node.js + Express + MongoDB (Mongoose) expertise
• Strong React Native CLI experience (not just Expo)
• Proven experience with Plaid API (full integration — linking, webhooks, transactions, investment data handling)
• Experience with credit/financial APIs (Array, Credit Bureaus like Experian, or similar fintech integrations is a big plus)
• Proficient in leveraging AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex) to accelerate development while maintaining code quality, architecture, security, and best practices
• Experience integrating AI/ML for transaction categorization (open-source models preferred)
• Experience taking mobile apps to TestFlight and Google Play
• Comfortable with screen monitoring / time-tracking software during working hours
• Strong English or Spanish communication skills + ability to work independently and lead
