Senior Fullstack Developer (Backend Focus) - Part-time - EU

modl.ai is redefining how games are developed by building AI-powered tools that accelerate game creation and improve player experiences. We’re looking for a part-time, senior full-stack engineer to provide flexible engineering support as we scale our platform and cover team capacity.

Role Overview

In this role, you’ll work alongside our senior platform engineer to support the development and maintenance of backend systems, while occasionally contributing to frontend tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python (Django or Flask experience is a plus)
• Support cloud infrastructure tasks across Azure and AWS environments
• Occasionally contribute to frontend development (React) when needed
• Assist in CI/CD processes, deployment pipelines, and build systems (Jenkins knowledge is a plus)
• Work collaboratively with the platform team to support ongoing projects and technical initiatives

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer
• Strong proficiency in Python (experience with production-grade systems)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS required)
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with React or modern frontend frameworks
• Background in mobile app or game development
• Familiarity with AI/ML integrations or data pipelines
