Job Description: Full-Stack Developer for Plotwise MVP
Plotwise is a web-based platform that translates complex planning regulations into actionable feasibility
insights for architects, developers, and building practitioners. I'm building an MVP focused on Tasmania to
launch by December 31, 2025.
I'm seeking a skilled full-stack developer to collaborate on building the Plotwise MVP. You'll work with me to
transform planning data into an intuitive platform that provides instant feasibility assessments and
actionable checklists for development projects.
• Build a web-based platform with address search functionality and planning data integration
• Develop modular backend architecture that enables plug-and-play integration of additional datasets
• Implement AI-powered interpretation of zoning regulations and overlay requirements
• Create automated checklist generation based on site analysis and intended land use
• Build instant feasibility report generation with PDF export capability
• Integrate Tasmania planning datasets (zoning, overlays, constraints) that are already prepared
• Ensure report generation completes within 1 minute with progressive loading where needed
• Design for scalability to accommodate future state datasets and API integrations
• Strong proficiency in Python (experience with Shapely, GeoPandas, or similar libraries preferred).
• Front-End Familiarity - Working knowledge of React and front-end collaboration.
• Architecture: Proven ability to design modular, data-driven systems.
• Experience with geospatial data and mapping technologies (QGIS, shape files)
• Proficiency in parsing and standardizing complex data from PDFs
• Experience building modular, scalable architectures
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration for data interpretation
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to data accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience with property/real estate platforms
• Knowledge of Australian planning regulations
• Experience with API integrations (future Domain API integration planned)
• Understanding of architectural or development workflows
