Senior Fullstack Developer (Backend Focus) - Full-time - Worldwide

About Wiktis

Wiktis is a SaaS platform built to simplify and digitize exhibition and event management — from registration and ticketing to on-site engagement and analytics. The product is about 80% complete, developed by the founder, and now entering a phase of scaling and architectural refinement. We’re looking for a Fullstack Developer (with strong backend skills) to help bring the platform to production-ready status and support new feature development.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the founder to finalize and optimize the backend architecture.
• Improve application scalability, performance, and security, including authentication and data handling best practices.
• Implement new features such as QR code scanning, event analytics, and role-based access.
• Support and refine frontend components (React, Next.js, Tailwind) where needed for better UX and functionality.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and improve overall DevOps structure.
• Conduct code reviews, write clean, maintainable TypeScript, and establish development best practices.
• Troubleshoot issues, debug across the stack, and contribute to technical documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of fullstack or backend-focused development experience, ideally in SaaS or web applications.
  Strong proficiency with:
• TypeScript / JavaScript
• SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Supabase or Firebase experience
• React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS
• Solid understanding of API design, authentication/authorization, and data modeling.
• Experience with security best practices (XSS, SQL injection prevention, secure storage, etc.).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

• Experience with QR code scanning integrations or mobile web interactivity.
• Background in event tech or SaaS products.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Vercel, AWS, etc.).
• Understanding of real-time databases and notifications in Supabase.
