Senior Full-Stack TypeScript Engineer — AI/Agent Systems (PT-LATAM)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack TypeScript Engineer to lead the development of our media intelligence SaaS platform. This role involves taking ownership of a sophisticated application that leverages AI-powered agent workflows to provide deep insights into media coverage. You will play a crucial part in enhancing platform capabilities, resolving production issues, and integrating cutting-edge AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve existing production issues, focusing on authentication, application services, and AI chat infrastructure.
• Maintain and enhance an established full-stack TypeScript application.
• Develop AI-powered features using LLMs and agent-based architectures to improve platform functionalities.
• Customize and optimize streaming chat and AI runtime capabilities.
• Integrate and manage LLM providers and AI services, ensuring seamless functionality.
• Extend and maintain backend APIs, application services, and database logic to support platform growth.
• Innovate and improve proprietary scoring, ranking, and analytics systems.
• Develop efficient data ingestion and processing workflows for media and article-based datasets.
• Enhance platform reliability, testing, and maintainability, ensuring long-term success.
• Debug third-party library source code to address framework behavior challenges.
• Translate product and business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Operate independently within an existing codebase, identifying opportunities for architectural improvements.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proficiency in modern Next.js and React applications.
• Strong backend engineering skills, including API development, PostgreSQL, authentication, and data modeling.
• Experience with production applications integrating LLMs and AI agents.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex production environments.
• Strong understanding of business logic to effectively translate it into technical solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI frameworks like CopilotKit, LangGraph, Mastra, or AG-UI.
• Familiarity with Vercel AI SDK and OpenRouter.
• Proficiency in tRPC, GraphQL, or other strongly typed API architectures.
• Experience with Supabase, Clerk, or similar authentication solutions.
• Background in developing background processing workflows with Trigger.dev or similar systems.
• Knowledge of data ingestion or document/article processing pipelines.
• Experience with scoring, ranking, recommendation, or analytics systems.
• Familiarity with Vitest, Playwright, D3, or Recharts.
