About this role

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join as a core contributor at a critical stage: building the production platform from the ground up.

This is a contract role with high ownership and direct founder collaboration.

• Impact: Young, clean codebase. Your architectural decisions will set the patterns for the platform.
• Velocity: AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) is core to how we ship, not an afterthought.
• Growth: Go back-end programming, React frontend, production LLM orchestration, and multi-agent systems. Full-stack ownership end-to-end.
• Autonomy: Early engineering contributor with significant technical decision-making authority.
• Problem space: Enterprise process knowledge is a massive, underserved market. You'll build the infrastructure that makes it accessible and actionable.

What we're looking for

Must-haves

• 5+ years building production software, with experience shipping across the stack
• Strong Go expertise: You write idiomatic Go. You're comfortable with chi/net-http routers, pgx for Postgres, structured logging with slog, and the standard library approach to problem-solving
• Python proficiency: You can build and maintain Python services, work with async patterns, and integrate with AI/ML tooling
• PostgreSQL skills: Database schema design, migrations, and production operations
• React and TypeScript: You can build and maintain a modern React frontend (hooks, context, component composition)
• Pragmatic mindset: You know when to refactor vs. ship, when to build vs. buy, and how to manage technical debt intentionally
• Ownership mentality: You take end-to-end responsibility for features, from design through deployment and monitoring
• Comfort with ambiguity: Early-stage startup means evolving requirements and shifting priorities

Strongly preferred

• LLM/AI integrations: Experience building production systems that call LLM APIs (embeddings, completions, agents, multi-agent orchestration)
• AI-assisted development: You already use tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar to accelerate your work
• Testing discipline: Building test frameworks, establishing coverage standards, writing meaningful tests (not just checkbox coverage)
• Production operations: Observability, incident response, system reliability

Nice to have

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, GCP, container orchestration
• Real-time systems: Server-Sent Events (SSE), WebSockets, streaming APIs
• Vector search / embeddings: RAG patterns, hybrid search
