Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Product Engineer to lead development of a well-defined, lean tablet-first Progressive Web Application (PWA). The application will create persistent Asset and technical service records for an operating field-service company, allowing technicians to quickly retrieve structured equipment, service, measurement, finding, recommendation, and evidence history.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of a tablet-first PWA, focusing on user accessibility and functionality.
- Design lifecycle-aware relational records so historical Asset, Component, Service Event, Measurement, Finding, Recommendation, and Evidence data remains intact as equipment and ownership change over time.
- Implement robust relational data models to support complex data structures and queries.
- Develop secure and scalable web and backend solutions using modern technologies.
- Ensure secure storage and management of photos and documents within the application.
- Implement authentication mechanisms to safeguard user data.
- Facilitate CSV data migration processes to ensure smooth transitions and data integrity.
- Oversee the deployment of the application in a production environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Product discovery and V0.1 definition are substantially complete; the selected engineer will receive a detailed RFP, implementation matrix, defined CORE/Stretch scope, and acceptance criteria.
Required Skills
- Expertise in relational data modeling and database management.
- Proficiency in modern web and backend development frameworks and languages.
- Experience with secure storage solutions for photos and documents.
- Strong understanding of authentication protocols and security best practices.
- Skilled in facilitating CSV migrations and data handling.
- Proven track record of deploying applications in production environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) and their specific challenges.
- Familiarity with tablet-first design principles and user experience considerations.
