About the Company

Kinsie is an early-stage startup building a mobile and web platform that matches people with similar skin profiles, so they can discover what skincare products actually work for them. The product is live and in beta, with a polished release targeted for end of July and an exciting phase-two roadmap right behind it. The team is small, fast-moving — so this is a chance to make a real, visible impact from day one.

The Role

We're looking for a versatile Senior Full Stack Engineer to help us move quickly across the whole product. You'll work closely with our CTO and own work end-to-end, from user-facing features to the data and infrastructure behind them. We value someone who can take a problem, run with it, and figure things out independently — "here's the challenge, can you solve it?" is the energy we're after.

What you'll work on

• Product features (frontend + backend): Build user-facing features end-to-end across our React Native (Expo/Tamagui) mobile app and TypeScript/Fastify/tRPC backend — for example, shipping a new forum/Q&A page where users can post questions and get answers from the community, fully wired up to Postgres.

• Data & database work: Clean up and consolidate our PostgreSQL product catalog — deduping products, normalizing ingredient data, and building repeatable decision/replay pipelines (with some LLM-assisted classification) to keep millions of rows accurate.

• Scraping & automation: Design and run an automated system that keeps our retailer catalogs fresh — scraping sites with Playwright and building the supporting infrastructure in Azure to refresh data periodically.

What we're looking for

• Strong full stack experience with TypeScript across mobile and backend
• Comfortable working autonomously and solving open-ended problems
• Experience with PostgreSQL and handling large, messy datasets
• Familiarity with web scraping (Playwright a plus) and cloud infrastructure (Azure a plus)
• Clear communicator who can collaborate async with a New York–based team
