The Role & What You'll Work On

We are looking for a highly-experienced, execution-focused contract engineer to help us improve our platform's reliability and quality.

This is not a leadership or system-design role. You will be given well-defined tasks by our founding team and will be expected to execute them with a high bar for quality.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Fixing bugs and resolving production alerts.
• Refactoring existing code to improve maintainability and reliability.
• Adding polish to existing product features and UI elements.
• Based on performance, you may be given standalone features to build from start to finish.

You will not be mentoring anyone or conducting code reviews; you will be focused 100% on writing and shipping high-quality code.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• **Professional experience with our specific stack:
  **Frontend: NextJS & React
  Backend: Python & FastAPI
  Cloud/DB: GCP & Firestore (Please do not apply if you do not have professional experience with this stack.)
• Proven ability to write maintainable, reliable, and well-tested code.
• Strong, clear English communication skills.
• Availability for daily sync meetings during NYC business hours (9am-6pm ET).
• Ability to start immediately.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered features.
