Senior Full-Stack Developer — Next.js / TypeScript / AWS - LATAM (PT)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our team for a freelance contract role. You will be instrumental in building a greenfield B2B SaaS platform within the healthcare sector. This project involves developing a web-based MVP entirely from scratch, following a well-defined architecture and technical stack. Your expertise will be crucial in executing the blueprint efficiently and making informed engineering decisions while maintaining clear and proactive communication throughout the development process.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the Phase 1 web-based MVP according to the established specifications.
• Establish and maintain the application architecture using Next.js and TypeScript.
• Implement database models, manage migrations, and develop backend workflows with Prisma and PostgreSQL.
• Create clean, responsive frontend interfaces utilizing Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
• Integrate authentication, payment systems, document workflows, search capabilities, email services, file storage, and background jobs.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure using AWS services including ECS, RDS, and S3.
• Critically review and refine AI-generated code to ensure high quality and maintainability.
• Communicate effectively and consistently in an async-first remote work environment.
• Collaborate closely with the founder/product owner for product decisions and clarifications.
• Maintain comprehensive GitHub workflows and documentation throughout the project.

Required Skills

• Over 5 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
• Proven production experience with Next.js 14 App Router.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with Prisma ORM and PostgreSQL, including schema design and migrations.
• Hands-on experience with AWS deployment, particularly ECS, RDS, and S3.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs such as Stripe and DocuSign.
• Active use of AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
• Strong written English skills and clear async communication capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, managing technical execution from build through deployment.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Stripe Connect or marketplace/platform payment flows.
• Experience with Algolia search configuration and indexing.
• Proficiency with BullMQ or background job processing.
• Experience with NextAuth or SAML-based authentication workflows.
• Background in healthcare, procurement, contracts, compliance, or other regulated industries.
• Experience developing greenfield SaaS MVPs.
• Comfort working in a dynamic, founder-led environment.
