Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer (Python, Supabase) - FT - Worldwide

About the role

BeingNex is an early-stage startup (currently in MVP) building an AI-driven platform that combines automated project management with a micro-employment marketplace.

The MVP is roughly 60% complete. We're looking for an experienced engineer to take ownership of the existing codebase, optimize what's there, and build out the remaining functionality. The biggest challenge — and the most important skill for this role — is integration: making a number of independently working AI components and tools talk to one another so the whole system runs as one seamless, end-to-end product.

What you'll do

• Pick up a well-documented existing codebase and extend it (no rebuilds — you'll be building on solid foundations laid by previous developers)
• Work through a detailed, ticketed scope (~275 tickets, each with clear acceptance criteria), delivered in reviewed packages of ~15
• Orchestrate multiple AI models (Claude as the primary model, alongside GPT and Gemini) so they coordinate and hand off to one another correctly
• Solve the interconnection problems that arise when individually functioning components are linked into a single unified system
• Integrate payments (Stripe), data/backend (Supabase), and the front end (Vercel)

What we're looking for

• Strong Python experience (the system is primarily built in Python)
• Demonstrated experience building AI-powered products — ideally with AI agents or multi-model orchestration
• A track record integrating complex systems with many interconnected, interdependent parts
• Comfort taking over and extending another developer's code
• Familiarity with Supabase, Vercel, GitHub, and Stripe (API-level integration)
• Nice to have: C++, Next.js

Engagement details

~30–40 hours/week, with flexibility to scale up
Estimated 300–350 hours over a 6–8 week development period
Async-friendly — work is organized in packages reviewed and signed off before moving to the next
Team based in Perth, Australia (some overlap helpful but not required)
