Senior Full-Stack / AI Engineer - Part-time - Overlap with EST

Title: Senior Full-Stack / AI Engineer (Contract)

About the Project

We are building an AI-powered MVP for a financial advisory platform.
The system combines:

• LLM-based analysis
• Workflow automation
• Secure data processing
• Intelligent document/questionnaire interpretation
• A clean advisor-facing frontend
• Client-facing modules with guided flows

The architecture and product requirements are defined.
We are ready to move the project from validated prototype → stable MVP v1.

Responsibilities

You will build the MVP end-to-end, including:

• Architecting the system and advising on technical decisions
• Implementing LLM workflows with OpenAI (function calling, structured outputs, embeddings)
• Designing clean API endpoints and backend logic
• Building frontend views/dashboards (Next.js or React)
• Integrating authentication + role-based access
• Setting up database schemas (Postgres)
• Building workflow automations (custom API integrations, Zapier/Make optional)
• Ensuring production-ready code, error handling, logging, and documentation
• Delivering a stable MVP within the target timeline

Required Skills

• Senior-level full-stack development experience (5+ years)
• Strong with TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js/React
• Strong experience with OpenAI API, LLM integrations, embeddings, and prompt engineering
• Experience architecting and deploying MVPs end-to-end
• Strong with API design, PostgreSQL, and serverless environments (Vercel/AWS)
• Ability to work quickly and independently with evolving requirements
• Strong communication and ability to explain technical tradeoffs

Nice to Have

• Experience with agentic workflows or tools like LangChain/LangGraph
• Experience integrating third-party APIs
• Experience building dashboards or internal tools
• Understanding of RAG pipelines or vector databases
• UX/UI sensitivity

Project Scope

You will collaborate directly with the founder to build:

• A backend “automation engine” using OpenAI
• A structured decision + analysis workflow
• A simple but clean web interface (admin and user-side)
• A secure data intake + processing flow
• Basic analytics and logging

Clear deliverables and weekly milestones are provided.
