Senior Front End Developer (Next Js 15, React, HTML/CSS) - PT - LATAM

A fast-growing payments startup, founded by experienced entrepreneurs who previously built a successful subscription payments company. The team is currently in the early stages of development, working on a prototype with plans for fundraising. This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled team focused on building an innovative payments platform.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Front-End Developer with expertise in Next.js v15 to help build a user-friendly and secure dashboard for our platform. The ideal candidate has deep experience with React and component development, can work effectively from mockups, and is comfortable making product decisions in a fast-moving startup environment.

This role will start as a part-time contract position (20 hours per week), with the potential for increased hours or full-time conversion based on performance. You’ll work closely with the technical co-founder, who is currently managing front-end development but needs immediate support.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Next.js v15, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Advanced React skills, including component development and state management
• Ability to translate mockups into high-quality, responsive UIs
• Experience working in early-stage startups and successful companies
• Experience with build tools, package managers, and code linting
• Awareness of front-end security best practices
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to work independently and contribute to product decisions

Nice to Have Skills

• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles, and front-end performance optimization
• Experience with payment systems or fintech platforms
• Experience consuming and/or developing APIs
• Experience with StoryBook or other style guide tools
• Background in secure coding practices for front-end development

Additional Information

• Hiring Process: Candidates will go through a technical interview, with a strong focus on Next.js v15 expertise. Background checks will be required for PCI compliance.
• Engagement Model: Initial contract at 20 hours/week for the next 6 months, with the potential for increased hours or full-time conversion.
• Time Zone Preference: Preference for candidates in South America to align with US Pacific/Mountain time zones.
