Senior Engineer - Rust/Tauri 2 Desktop Application

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Engineer to take full ownership of an existing Rust/Tauri 2 desktop application. This role involves managing and enhancing the application's functionality, with a focus on file synchronization, Windows integration, packaging, releases, and automatic updates. A strong command of PostgreSQL and practical experience with TypeScript/React are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of a Rust/Tauri 2 desktop application.
• Oversee file synchronization processes and ensure smooth Windows integration.
• Manage application packaging, releases, and implement automatic updates.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain and improve application performance and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and support for PostgreSQL database management.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Rust and Tauri 2 for desktop application development.
• Proven experience with PostgreSQL for database management.
• Practical skills in TypeScript and React for application enhancement.
• Ability to work remotely with substantial overlap in Central European Time (CET).
