About the Role

Client is building a new B2B dealer/distributor e-commerce portal from the ground up. We are looking for a senior developer with proven experience integrating Sage X3 ERP with external websites or e-commerce platforms.

The existing Sage X3 environment is on-premises, so hands-on experience with this type of integration is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a B2B dealer/distributor portal.
• Integrate the platform with Sage X3, including product/catalog, customer, pricing, and order data.
• Integrate payment gateway and shipping/fulfillment functionality.
• Design secure and reliable data flows between the on-premises ERP and web-based systems.
• Recommend the appropriate e-commerce platform, technology stack, APIs, and integration architecture.
• Work directly with the Product Owner to define scope, architecture, and implementation approach.
• Clearly explain technical architecture and data flows to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Proven, hands-on Sage X3 integration experience.
• Previous experience connecting Sage X3 to an e-commerce platform or external website.
• Experience with on-premises ERP integrations.
• Strong e-commerce and API/integration experience.
• Experience with product catalogs, B2B pricing, orders, payments, and shipping integrations.
• Ability to demonstrate or discuss a previous successful Sage X3 integration.
• Strong English communication and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Interview Expectations

Candidates should be prepared to:

• Walk through a comparable Sage X3 integration they have built.
• Explain the architecture and data flow.
• Recommend how they would connect client's on-premises Sage X3 environment to the new e-commerce platform.
• Show a live example or working component of previous relevant work, where possible.

Important: We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience doing this successfully—not a developer undertaking their first Sage X3 integration.
