About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of a modern, scalable, and technically proficient data platform. This role is pivotal in transforming our current data strategy into an enterprise-ready solution that enables real-time analytics, AI integration, and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Design & Strategy
  --Develop and implement cloud-based data architectures (data lakes, data warehouses, and modern data pipelines) that align with our enterprise data strategy.
  -- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures leveraging Microsoft Azure Fabric and related technologies.
  -- Drive the transition toward a data lakehouse model with medallion architecture to support structured and unstructured data.

• Data Platform Development
  -- Lead the design and development of data ingestion, processing, and storage frameworks, ensuring real-time and batch processing capabilities.
  -- Integrate multiple data sources, including ERP, CRM, eCommerce platforms, Google Analytics, BigQuery, and on-premise SQL Server, ensuring high-quality, accessible data.
  -- Define and implement role-based data access controls to democratize data within the organization.

• Technical Leadership & Collaboration
  -- Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure the architecture supports AI initiatives and self-service BI capabilities.
  -- Establish best practices for data governance, security, and compliance across the data platform.
  -- Communicate technical strategies and architectural decisions effectively to C-level executives and business stakeholders.

• Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  -- Stay ahead of emerging cloud, AI, and machine learning trends to enhance data platform scalability, performance, and security.
  -- Explore opportunities for AI-driven analytics and automation to improve business decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in enterprise cloud data architecture, particularly with Microsoft Azure and Azure Fabric.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing data lakehouse architectures, including medallion architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, and real-time processing frameworks.
• Strong background in integrating diverse data sources, including cloud and on-premise databases, SaaS platforms, and big data solutions.
• Experience establishing data governance, security frameworks, and access control strategies.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives and translate complex technical concepts into business value.
• US-based, with availability for potential on-site workshops as needed.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with Google Cloud (BigQuery, Google Analytics) and hybrid cloud data strategies.
• Experience in AI/ML-driven data analytics and automation.
• Knowledge of eCommerce and ERP system integrations.
