Project Overview
The client has a partially built automated futures trading system in C#/.NET on Quantower.
Core components—wavelets, indicators, AI framework, rule-based strategies, execution engine, and risk module—already exist, but the system is not yet operational. You'll be picking up from a previous developer to finish, integrate, stabilize, and deliver a fully working trading bot.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement AI model persistence (save/load trained models)
- Build the AI training pipeline (historical data → preprocess → train → validate → export), including Triple Barrier Method labeling for training data
- Integrate AI + wavelets + rule-based strategies into a unified strategy, including a confluence-based decision framework (weighted vote across model signal, technical indicators, and support/resistance, with a minimum two-of-three agreement gate before trade execution)
- Verify wavelet IDWT (inverse discrete wavelet transform) round-trip integrity — reconstructed signal vs. original input
- Make the system run end-to-end inside Quantower
- Add backtesting and performance verification
- Implement full .NET logging (signals, decisions, orders, errors)
- Improve stability: multithreading, race conditions, error handling
- Validate signal quality and ensure logical, consistent outputs
- Document the system and show the client how to operate it
Required Experience
- Senior C#/.NET developer, 5+ years, production systems
- Experience building automated/algorithmic trading systems on retail or institutional platforms (Quantower preferred; NinjaTrader, cTrader, MultiCharts .NET, or direct broker APIs acceptable)
- Personal trading experience (futures preferred) — must be stated on profile, will be verified in interview
- Signal processing or applied mathematics background; wavelet analysis
- Experience picking up and extending someone else's partially-built codebase
- Clear communication and reliable, accountable delivery (weekly syncs, consistent versioning, accurate change logs)
Additional Notes
- This is completion work, not a new build. The existing architecture should remain intact.
- The hired developer is expected to explain workflows and guide a non-technical founder.
- Available for a paid trial engagement before long-term commitment
