About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the PX Insights team and help expand our integration capabilities and data infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in retrieving customer signals from various third-party platforms, building scalable pipelines, and surfacing actionable product insights within Akeneo’s PIM.
This is a backend-focused role, with occasional frontend contributions to help display insights in the PIM interface.

What You’ll Be Working On

Third-Party Integrations & Data Pipelines

• Build new integrations to retrieve product insights from tools like:
• Google Analytics (GA-4), Algolia – product views, clicks, add-to-cart, conversion, etc.
• Customer Support platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow – support ticket insights.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines to process and store third-party data efficiently.
• Ensure integrations are reliable, scalable, and production-ready.
  Public API Development
• Help build a new public-facing API that allows external systems (e.g., customer review platforms) to push data into PX Insights.
  Insight Delivery
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to surface these insights in the Akeneo PIM interface.
• Ensure data is presented in a meaningful and actionable way for end users.

• Frontend: React
• Cloud/Infra: Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in backend development
• Solid experience working with APIs (REST, third-party integrations)
• Strong proficiency in PHP (Symfony preferred), Go, or similar backend languages
• Experience designing and implementing data pipelines
• Comfort working in a production-aware, DevOps-friendly environment
• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally
• Good understanding of system design and performance optimization

Bonus Points For

• Experience with Google Analytics (GA-4), Algolia, or Customer Support platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow)
• Familiarity with building public APIs
• Exposure to frontend work with React
• Background in e-commerce or product analytics
