Senior Backend Developer - PT/FT - EMEA/LATAM/NA

About the role

We're an early-stage startup (around a year old, ~5 engineers) acquiring block/property management companies and using AI to make them dramatically more efficient. We're building two things in parallel:

Core foundational products — a CRM, a finance system, and integrations with block management platforms.
AI products — workflow automation built on sequential LLMs, RAG, and similar patterns, increasingly embedded into the core applications above.

We have a strong engineering team, but they're a few steps behind the current AI-assisted development curve. We're bringing in a senior engineer who lives and breathes AI-accelerated development to accelerate the build of our core products and, by example, bring the team up the AI curve.

The defining quality we're hiring for is your ability to use AI to build fast and well — full-throttle agentic workflows, AI-driven testing, and a continuous deployment mindset, all proven in production. You'll also help embed AI features into the products themselves as they take shape.

This is a hands-on build role, not a consulting or mentoring one. You'll ship code alongside the team and raise the bar through how you work, seeding new AI-driven practices as you build rather than advising from the sidelines.

What you'll do

• Drive the build of our foundational products (CRM, finance, integrations) — speed of delivery is priority number one.
• Work in full-throttle, agentic, AI-assisted development workflows, and let the team learn modern practices by watching you build.
• Use AI tooling to compress delivery time without sacrificing quality — agentic coding, automated test generation, AI-assisted reviews, and the like.
• Help move us toward a continuous delivery cadence, replacing a slower legacy deployment process.
• Build and integrate AI-powered features (workflow automation, LLM/RAG-backed flows) directly into the core applications.

Must-haves

• Demonstrated, recent mastery of AI-accelerated development — this is the headline requirement. We want to see agentic coding workflows, AI-assisted testing, and fluent use of tools like Claude as a core part of how you ship. Concrete evidence in your CV or recent projects is a big plus
• Senior-level backend engineering experience, ideally with full-stack range.
• Strong Python.
• Experience building robust, production-scale systems with a continuous delivery / fast deployment cadence.
• Comfort building applications with embedded AI — wiring in LLM/RAG-backed features as part of normal product work.

• React (we're not fussed about the frontend, but it helps)
• AWS (minor)

Who this is not for

We're specifically looking for an excellent application engineer who is highly proficient using AI in their workflow — not a specialized AI/LLM engineer. You don't need deep LLM-context-management or AI-systems expertise; you need to be exceptional at building core applications quickly, with AI woven into how you work.
