Role Overview

Join our dynamic venture studio as a Senior Backend / Data Engineer and be at the forefront of building an AI-powered platform designed to accelerate startups from concept to market launch. This role offers you the chance to work on a core internal product, transforming an MVP into a scalable production platform, and involves full-stack engineering, AI agent development, and rapid product iteration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a production-ready web application, handling both frontend and backend functionalities.
• Build secure authentication and user management workflows.
• Enhance backend architecture for improved reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Design, build, and maintain AI agents to automate specialized business and growth workflows.
• Integrate external AI APIs into agent pipelines and application features.
• Create, evaluate, and optimize prompts and multi-step AI workflows, ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Develop automation pipelines that emulate real-world expert processes.
• Rapidly ship new features during the pre-launch phase and continuously refine the platform post-launch, based on user feedback.
• Collaborate closely with the founding team in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong professional experience in building full-stack applications using JavaScript and TypeScript, with robust backend development skills.
• Experience in using Python for backend services or AI-related functions.
• Proven expertise in developing AI agents, AI automations, or agentic workflows beyond simple prompt engineering.
• Hands-on experience with integrating external AI APIs into production applications.
• Experience in building secure web dashboards, authentication systems, and user management workflows.
• Ability to design, evaluate, and enhance prompts and AI pipelines using structured testing and benchmarking.
• Comfort in fast-moving startup environments with evolving product requirements and minimal processes.
• Ability to independently prioritize tasks and deliver production-ready features swiftly.

Nice to Have

• Experience in building or managing MCP servers.
• Familiarity with AI development tools and coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar agent frameworks.
• Experience with go-to-market automation, growth tooling, or marketing technology platforms.
• Experience in managing web servers, application deployment, and performance optimization.
• Previous experience as an early-stage or founding engineer.
