Senior Back-End Developer (Python/Docker/AWS) - PT Freelance - Americas/Europe

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: Review existing Figma-based UI/UX design and provide constructive feedback to the front-end developer. Architect and implement robust back-end infrastructure, including APIs, databases, and integration points, while providing clear architectural diagrams as needed.
• Scalable Solutions: Evaluate and implement scalable back-end solutions with a focus on cost-effectiveness. Assess the benefits of a microservices architecture versus a monolithic approach and determine the appropriate use of containers or other cloud-native tools.
• Collaboration & Process: Engage in a collaborative code development environment, adhering to CI/CD best practices. Implement basic documentation where necessary and promote knowledge sharing across the team.
• Quality & Optimization: Continuously monitor and refine backend services to enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Skills

• Experience in designing and deploying scalable, cloud-based backend architectures.
• Expertise in modern back-end languages, frameworks, and tooling.
• Proficiency with cloud services and infrastructure, such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and collaborative version control workflows.
• Ability to critically evaluate and communicate the pros and cons of various architectural and technological approaches.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization tools.
• Familiarity with Figma and ability to collaborate effectively with front-end developers.
• Sound documentation skills to aid in knowledge transfer and team collaboration.
• Must speak fluent English.
