CenterEdge Software is looking for a skilled .NET Developer to join our team on a 6-month contract. You’ll play a crucial role in migrating the database of our flagship Advantage software suite from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud.
This position requires expertise in both .NET development and SQL, enabling you to contribute immediately to the project. If you thrive on delivering focused, high-impact results within a fixed timeline, we’d love to hear from you.
● Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand the database migration requirements.
● Design, develop, and modify software components within the .NET framework to support the database migration.
● Optimize and refactor SQL queries and database structures for cloud compatibility.
● Ensure seamless integration between the desktop WinForms applications and the cloud-based database.
● Identify and resolve software and database-related issues during the migration process.
● Test, deploy, and document changes to ensure robust performance and data integrity.
● Collaborate with team members to ensure the migration meets performance, scalability, and security standards.
● Proficiency in .NET Development:
○ Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework.
○ Experience with desktop applications (WinForms preferred).
○ Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
● SQL Expertise:
○ Proficiency in designing and optimizing SQL queries and database structures.
○ Hands-on experience with SQL Server and cloud database solutions.
○ Knowledge of data storage and retrieval strategies and best practices.
● General Skills:
○ Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
○ Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
○ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
○ Ability to work independently and deliver results on a fixed timeline.
● Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
● Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization in cloud environments.
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
