SAP BTP / CAP Developer — Job Description

Engagement: Freelance / hourly, part-time to start with potential to scale to full-time
Location: Remote — APAC/EMEA
Duration: Open-ended; 6+ months if project succeeds

About the Role

Oncore Systems is building a multi-tenant SAP BTP application (mining industry vertical) and needs a hands-on developer to take ownership of backend development from an existing design, with some UI involvement. The founder will continue leading design/architecture and frontend wireframing; this role covers implementation, cleanup, and forward development.

Responsibilities

• Build out backend services on SAP BTP using the CAP (Cloud Application Programming) model
• Review and refine existing technical design; flag gaps or improvements
• Develop and maintain multi-tenant application architecture (single app, multiple onboarded customers)
• Implement UI components using SAP Fiori Elements (support from founder available if needed)
• Work within SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) for development

Must-Have Skills

• SAP BTP hands-on experience
• SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model)
• Node.js (primary stack; Java background acceptable as alternative)
• SAP Business Application Studio (BAS)
• SAP HANA Cloud (database layer)
• Cloud Foundry
• HDI containers
• Multi-tenancy application architecture

Nice-to-Have

• SAP ABAP experience (helps leverage existing SAP knowledge)
• SAP Work Zone
• SAP Fiori Elements (UI development)
• SAP S/4HANA exposure

Working Style

• Comfortable working from a founder-provided design and iterating/cleaning up rather than greenfield architecture
• Strong async communication — client is time-zone constrained and values a reliable, easy-to-communicate-with collaborator over pure speed
