Hey there,
I’m building a macOS autocomplete system that predicts what you’ll type next — like a Microsoft coding copilot but for language. The core is already working, but I’m looking for a strong Rust engineer to help take it to production quality.
Rust + Swift + macOS APIs + worked on autocomplete/prediction products are the main things you need.
What you’ll work on:
• Building prediction systems that learn from user behavior
• Integrating macOS system APIs (Swift / Objective-C interop)
• Connecting LLM APIs (OpenRouter, OpenAI) efficiently
• Designing context-aware suggestion pipelines that feel “smart”
Tech stack:
• Rust (core logic, data pipelines)
• Swift / Objective-C (macOS Accessibility APIs, screen capture, overlay UI)
• Cloud LLMs (OpenRouter / OpenAI)
• RAG systems (embeddings + BM25 hybrid search)
You should have:
• Solid Rust and macOS development experience
• Built recommendation or autocomplete systems before
• Understanding of what makes AI suggestions feel human
• Swift FFI / interop fluency
• Hands-on with macOS Accessibility APIs
• Experience with context-aware ML systems
I care about speed and quality. The faster the better. If that sounds like you, I’d love to chat.
Please provide a link to a predictive system you have built in rust.
