I'm looking for a senior client-services and delivery lead for a boutique full-service digital marketing agency, who can own our key account relationships and run day-to-day delivery as the founding principals step back, becoming the stable point of contact and internal quarterback for the book of business. This person would hold the primary relationships on our anchor accounts (including a high-volume, fast-moving retainer that demands calm under short-notice pressure, an events-driven client needing near-CMO-level strategic partnership, and a long-tenured trust-based relationship), lead delivery across the full roster from scoping and prioritization to quality and timelines, coordinate a small blended team of employees and contractors, absorb institutional knowledge from the departing principals and turn it into repeatable process, and retain and grow existing accounts as a credible partner to client leadership. The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years in a marketing, advertising, or digital agency with real account-leadership experience, is comfortable holding a room with a founder or CMO, thrives in a small hands-on shop wearing multiple hats with no large team beneath them, stays organized and steady running several accounts at once, and is process-minded and willing to document as they go since we're actively building out our SOPs; breadth across channels (paid, SEO, content, web, lifecycle), event or experiential exposure, familiarity with Asana or monday.com, and comfort using AI tools to boost their own throughput are all pluses. This is a Kansas City-preferred role (strong remote candidates definitely considered) reporting directly to the owner, and I'm open to structuring it as contract-to-hire rather than a straight full-time placement.
