Python Automation Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Python Automation Developer to streamline and automate our current inventory data collection process. The goal is to transition from a manual, Google Colab-based system to a fully automated solution that updates inventory levels from our supplier's website directly into a Google Sheet.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Python-based automation script to scrape inventory data from the supplier's website.
• Automate the current process to run without manual intervention, ensuring daily updates to the Google Sheet.
• Ablity to hard code specific logic for small number of unique SKU/Products - e.g. qty of 4 is denoted as SKU123(4) and logic divides inventory levels by 4 to ensure packs of 4 are correct. Ability for non-technical person to update/add to the list of unique SKU's/Products
• Ensure the automation is robust, reliable, and capable of handling potential website changes or disruptions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide regular updates on progress.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python programming, with a focus on web scraping and automation.
• Experience with tools and libraries such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, or Selenium for web scraping.
• Familiarity with Google Colab and Google Sheets API for data manipulation and updates.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience with setting up automated scripts on cloud platforms or scheduled task services.
• Basic understanding of data processing and analysis.
