About the Project:

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to help shape the development of Cline, an open-source AI developer tool. Cline is hosted on GitHub (https://github.com/cline/cline) and designed to support developers in building innovative AI solutions. This role focuses on creating an organized and transparent development process, enabling contributors to collaborate effectively and align with the project’s vision.

Responsibilities:

• Backlog Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive backlog of tasks and features, ensuring prioritization aligns with project goals.
• Roadmap Development: Build a public roadmap to provide clear guidance for contributors and foster engagement with the community.
• Tool Expertise: Manage the project’s workflow using Linear, leveraging the tool to streamline task tracking and project updates.
• Contributor Enablement: Create processes, documentation, and resources to onboard and empower contributors effectively.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the project owner and contributors to define feature requirements and implementation timelines.
• Feedback Loop: Gather input from users and contributors to continuously refine and improve the product.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in the open-source or AI/developer tool space.
• Expertise in using Linear for product and project management.
• Familiarity with open-source development workflows and contributor engagement strategies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• Ability to create clear, actionable roadmaps and backlogs that drive meaningful progress.
• Understanding of developer tools, AI technologies, or related fields is highly desirable.
