Dawn Energy is building homeowner-friendly tools to make electrification simple, affordable, and trustworthy. Our MVP is already live with a functioning website and prototype tool, and we’re now seeking a freelance designer to help refresh and polish the experience. This is not a ground-up redesign — we have working pages, brand system, and Figma files — but we need design support to make the site and tool cleaner, clearer, and ready for the next stage of growth.
We’re looking for a freelance product designer with strong UX/UI skills in web and tool design. You’ll work with our founder and developer to refine existing components, design a few new ones, and deliver an updated Figma handoff that balances MVP speed with homeowner trust and clarity.
Core Scope (~30 hrs)
Homepage
Rebuild hero/value proposition banner (modern image + copy).
Add a new data visualization block for annual savings.
Create a simple “house profiles” module (3 static profiles).
Quote Tool
Entry page refresh for clarity and trust.
Reskin questionnaire (form inputs, icons, guiding cues).
Results page with plan cards (monthly savings, CO₂ savings, simple expandables).
Final summary page with two clear CTAs: Talk to an Expert (form/Calendly) and Proceed to Checkout (Shopify placeholder).
Stretch Goals (~10 hrs, if time allows)
Responsive breakpoints for tablet/mobile.
Interactive features: expandable house profiles, filters on results page.
Polished component detail pages (equipment-specific visuals).
Light motion polish (loading animations, transitions).
Updated Figma files with desktop versions of all Core Scope components/pages.
Developer-ready notes for states, behaviors, and handoff.
Exported assets (icons, visuals).
Optional clickable prototype for stakeholder testing.
Strong portfolio of consumer-facing web or tool design (preferably data-heavy or product selection flows).
Expert in Figma and component libraries.
Ability to balance clean UX with visual trust-building.
Comfort working with existing systems and iterating quickly.
Contract: Freelance, project-based.
Timeline: Core scope ~30 hrs over 2–3 weeks, with potential stretch goals (+10 hrs) if bandwidth allows.
Start: As soon as possible.
