Role Overview

Join Harrier, a dynamic Salesforce consultancy, as a Power BI Consultant. In this role, you will bridge the gap between Salesforce raw data and actionable insights. You'll be responsible for designing and delivering innovative reporting solutions tailored to complex business needs. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, making it ideal for someone passionate about data and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into scalable reporting solutions.
• Design and develop data models in Power BI, working closely with data engineers on upstream transformations using dbt.
• Create interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports to deliver clear business insights.
• Establish governance practices for Power BI, focusing on data sets, workspaces, permissions, and performance optimization.
• Train and mentor business users to enhance self-service reporting and analytics capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing Power BI solutions for improved usability and performance.
• Stay informed about the latest Power BI features and industry best practices to continually enhance reporting capabilities.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Expertise in data modeling, including dimensional models, DAX, and Power Query (M).
• Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Strong SQL skills and a sound understanding of relational databases.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in training and enabling business users on Power BI.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and enterprise reporting standards.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices for Power BI deployments.
• Familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics.
• Experience in a consulting or cross-functional role with exposure to various business domains.
