.NET Developer (F#/SQL/Vue.js) - PT Freelance - Americas/Europe

Job Description:

We are a small, upstate New York-based business specializing in payment processing and are seeking a talented, experienced F# developer to assist with a growing project. The application involves estimating and invoicing features and uses a stack that includes F#, .NET, and SQL. This role will be responsible for both development and providing guidance to our team, with a focus on fostering an understanding of the application’s code and structure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support ongoing development of an F#-based estimating and invoicing application.
• Integrate third-party APIs, including a payment processor (Dejavoo), enabling end-users to securely connect using their credentials.
• Assist with troubleshooting and debugging, ensuring stability and performance.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to help increase understanding of the code and app structure.
• Review and provide feedback on code submissions and ensure all changes align with project goals.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with F# and .NET development, ideally in application development.
• Familiarity with SQL, Git, and GitHub for source control.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain code and teach key principles as needed.
• Experience with payment processing integrations is a plus but not required.

Terms:

• Engagement: Part-time, approximately 3-5 hours per week with flexibility.
• Duration: Initial commitment of 2-3 months, with the potential for long-term engagement.
• Comfort with time flexibility for overlapping work hours (Eastern Time preferred).
