We’re seeking a Mobile Growth & Subscription Marketing Manager to join our mission-driven team and lead the next chapter of Think Dirty’s growth. In this role, you will spearhead user acquisition, engagement, and subscription strategies to connect more users with our purpose and convert them into loyal subscribers. You’ll blend creative marketing with data-driven insights and a user-centric mindset to drive sustainable product growth that amplifies our impact on consumer health and the environment. Lead User Acquisition Initiatives: Develop and execute multi-channel campaigns (organic, paid, ASO, social, partnerships) to attract new users to Think Dirty and expand our community in line with our mission and values. Ensure our messaging stays compelling, authentic, and impact-focused in every channel.
Drive User Engagement & Retention: Create and optimize lifecycle marketing programs (push notifications, email newsletters, in-app content) that delight and educate users, encouraging them to scan products regularly and make safer choices. Deliver timely, relevant content that resonates with a purpose-driven audience to increase active usage and long-term retention.
Grow Paid Subscriptions: Own the end-to-end subscription funnel for our mobile app. Design strategies to convert free users into paid subscribers — from optimizing the onboarding flow and paywall messaging to crafting promotions, free trials, and pricing strategies. Highlight the added value of premium features in a way that reinforces our mission (e.g. exclusive content that helps users live cleaner), and ensure subscribers remain engaged and satisfied.
Data-Driven Experimentation: Use analytics and A/B testing to inform decisions and iterate on growth tactics. Identify key drop-off points in the user journey and experiment with improvements (e.g. new feature teasers, referral incentives, updated messaging) to boost conversion and engagement. Measure what matters – track KPIs like CAC, activation rate, DAU/MAU, conversion to paid, and churn – and pivot quickly based on insights.
User-Centric Strategy: Champion the user's voice in all marketing efforts. Regularly analyze user feedback, app reviews, and behavior patterns to understand users' needs and value. Collaborate with our Product and UX teams to ensure growth experiments and subscription features genuinely serve our users’ well-being and maintain their trust in our brand.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Content, and Community teams to align growth initiatives with product roadmap and community campaigns. For example, coordinate marketing around new feature launches (such as a revamped ingredient review feature or community challenge) to maximize adoption and impact. Ensure a cohesive user experience across touchpoints that reinforces Think Dirty’s mission and voice.
Optimize and Scale: Monitor performance metrics daily and monthly, sharing insights and results with the team. Double down on what’s working, and creatively troubleshoot what isn’t. Manage the growth marketing budget with an eye on efficiency and impact – achieving user and revenue growth targets while maximizing ROI and staying true to our ethical standards (no growth hacks that undermine user trust).
Stay Innovative: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in mobile growth, subscription marketing, and social impact campaigns. Bring new ideas to the table on how Think Dirty can reach more people and drive engagement (whether it’s experimenting with a TikTok awareness campaign or building partnerships with health influencers) in innovative but authentic ways. Your initiatives will help keep Think Dirty at the forefront of mission-driven innovation in our industry.
Experience & Track Record: 5+ years of experience in growth marketing, product marketing, or related roles driving mobile app user growth and subscriptions. You have a proven track record of boosting user acquisition and engagement, ideally in a consumer app (bonus if it’s mission-focused like health, wellness, or sustainability).
Subscription Marketing Expertise: Hands-on experience with subscription business models and funnels. You understand free-to-paid conversion dynamics, subscription KPIs, and tactics to improve renewal rates. Experience growing a premium subscription user base for a mobile product is a strong plus.
Data-Driven & Analytical: Proficiency in analytics and testing frameworks – you make data-based decisions and know how to design experiments. Comfortable with tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar to track user behavior and campaign performance. You can calculate CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and you use these metrics to inform strategy.
User-Centric Mindset: Empathy for users and a knack for understanding customer journeys. You always think from the user’s perspective and have experience using user research or feedback to shape marketing efforts. You ensure our growth initiatives feel like a service to users, not a nuisance, aligning with our trust-building approach.
Channel Knowledge: Deep knowledge of mobile marketing channels and techniques. This could include ASO (App Store Optimization), content marketing/SEO, social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, email marketing, push notification strategy, and paid acquisition (Facebook, Google UAC, etc.). You know how to tailor content and tactics to different channels while keeping messaging consistent and on-mission.
Creative Strategist: Ability to craft compelling narratives and value propositions that connect with users emotionally. You can translate Think Dirty’s unique mission and data into marketing messaging that is inviting and motivating—creative mindset to brainstorm new campaign ideas paired with the pragmatism to execute them effectively.
Collaboration & Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills. You can work cross-functionally with designers, engineers, and content creators, inspiring them with your vision and coordinating efforts to deliver results. Able to report on results and explain complex data insights in understandable, actionable terms.
Adaptability & Drive: Entrepreneurial spirit with a growth mindset. You’re comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt quickly to change. Problem-solving comes naturally to you, and you’re driven to iterate and learn continuously in pursuit of our mission.

Your work should result in users not just downloading, but sticking around and using Think Dirty to make healthier choices.
Subscription Conversion & Revenue: Growth in paid subscriptions and recurring revenue – measured by free-to-paid conversion rate uplift, number of new subscribers, and monthly recurring revenue (MRR) from subscriptions. We’ll examine how effectively your campaigns turn curious users into paying customers who believe in our premium value.
Subscriber Loyalty (Churn/LTV): Improved subscriber loyalty and lifetime value – indicated by a reduction in churn rate and an increase in average customer lifetime value. When you excel, subscribers will stay longer with Think Dirty’s premium offering, finding continuous value in what we provide.
Marketing Efficiency: Achieving growth targets efficiently – for instance, meeting or beating our customer acquisition cost (CAC) goals and maintaining a healthy CAC-to-LTV ratio. We’ll measure the ROI of your campaigns, ensuring that we grow sustainably and smartly, maximizing impact for every dollar spent.
