Mobile Developer, EV Charging App (iOS & Android) - PT - Worldwide

About the project

Client is an Australian startup building an EV charging platform for hotels, motels and short-stay accommodation. Guests book, download the app, pre-authorize payment, then start charging by entering their mobile number on the charger keypad.

You'll build the guest-facing app that guests download from their booking confirmation email to register, pay and track their charging.

What you'll build

• A cross-platform iOS and Android app
• Deferred deep linking: the booking link carries check-in and check-out dates through the App Store or Google Play install, then pre-fills and locks them in the app
• Phone number verification by SMS OTP, formatted to E.164
• Card linking and a pre-authorization hold through Stripe
• Live charging view (kWh, cost), session history and receipts

Requirements

• 4+ years of mobile development with React Native or Flutter, with apps published on both stores
• Deferred deep linking (e.g. Branch, Firebase Dynamic Links alternatives, AppsFlyer)
• Stripe mobile SDK integration, including card pre-authorization
• SMS OTP authentication flows
• Experience working closely with a backend engineer on real-time data (WebSockets or similar)

• EV charging or IoT companion apps
• Experience building apps for the Australian market
