Mobile Application Development Overview

We are preparing to launch a bilingual mobile application built natively for Android and iOS to ensure high performance and platform-specific optimization. The Android version is developed in Java, while the iOS version uses Swift. The backend is powered by PHP Laravel, with HTML5 and CSS3 supporting the frontend service layers.

Technology Rationale

The project initially considered Flutter for cross-platform development. However, due to a tight timeline and limited internal resources in Flutter, we opted for native development to accelerate delivery and maintain quality. PHP Laravel was selected for the backend based on its cost-effectiveness and the broad availability of experienced developers compared to alternatives like Ruby, Angular, or Node.js..

Testing Phase

We are now entering the pre-launch testing phase and seeking freelance support to conduct a thorough review of the application. This includes:

• Identifying and resolving bugs across both platforms
• Ensuring consistent performance and stability
• Auditing Dutch and English translations for accuracy and layout integrity
• Verifying UI/UX responsiveness across devices
