Mid/Sr. Back-End Developer (ASP NET Core Web API + SQL Server) - FT Freelance - Americas

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve an ASP .NET Core (v6+) Web API serving all “indicative” data
  endpoints.
• Model and query a SQL Server database via Entity Framework Core (code-first
  or DB-first).
• Shape payloads with DTOs, AutoMapper mappings, and document APIs with
  Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Secure APIs (JWT/OAuth2, CORS) and write unit/integration tests (xUnit).
• Collaborate on CI/CD (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps) to build, test, and
  deploy services.

Required Skills

• .NET 6+ / C#: Web API controllers, middleware, dependency injection.
• Entity Framework Core: DbContext design, migrations, LINQ queries.
• SQL Server & T-SQL: schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning.
• API Best Practices: RESTful routing, versioning, OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Testing: xUnit (unit and integration), mocking frameworks (Moq).
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines.

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with Dapper or other micro-ORMs
• Experience with Azure SQL or AWS RDS deployments
• Knowledge of caching strategies (Redis)
• Prior work with real-time hubs (SignalR)
