We are currently seeking a Shopify developer to help redesign our website, focusing on a vibrant, user-friendly experience for our community.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Shopify Developer to lead the redesign of our current website. The ideal candidate will help us transition from an outdated WordPress site to a dynamic, mobile-ready Shopify platform. This project will focus on creating a visually captivating, single-page design with horizontal scrolling and 5–10 custom landing pages. Seamless integration with third-party tools and automation of existing manual processes will be a crucial part of this role.

The expected timeline for this project is approximately 1–2 months on a part-time basis (10–20 hours per week). The developer will collaborate closely with the decision-makers, working to ensure the project is completed by June.

Responsibilities

• Redesign and build a Shopify-based website with a colorful, creative design suitable for a children’s dance academy.
• Implement a mobile-friendly, single-page experience with horizontal scrolling.
• Develop and integrate approximately 5–10 specialized landing pages.
• Set up and automate integrations with third-party tools, including Google Calendar, Gmail, WhatsApp, Google Sheets, Stripe, MailChimp, Trello, and Zapier.
• Ensure the website is optimized for performance and easy content management.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to incorporate provided graphics and text content.
• Provide regular updates and maintain strong communication throughout the project.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Shopify development, including custom themes and API integrations.
• Proven track record of building mobile-responsive, visually appealing websites.
• Familiarity with integrating third-party tools such as Google Calendar, Gmail, and Stripe.
• Proficiency in automation tools like Zapier.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with creative, child-friendly web design.
• Familiarity with Google Sheets automation and advanced Shopify customization.
• Basic knowledge of web design principles and UX best practices.
• Experience working with small businesses or arts-focused organizations.
