About the Role

We are embarking on a transformative project to develop an AI-powered system capable of distinguishing between computer-generated and physically scanned biometric images, with a specific focus on fingerprints. The objective is to create a solution that can analyze friction, pressure, texture, and other unique factors to verify whether an image originated from a physical scan or was digitally generated.

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Developer to join us on a part-time basis (20 hours/week). This role requires hands-on expertise in AI model development and previous experience with successful AI projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with our leadership, helping design an AI model that meets stringent accuracy standards, integrates seamlessly with existing biometric software, and is compatible across multiple environments (Mac, PC, Linux). This project is intended for licensing to external platforms and will not be used internally by ourclients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an AI model to differentiate between scanned and computer-generated biometric images.
• Analyze image characteristics, such as pressure, texture, and moisture, to enhance detection accuracy.
• Ensure cross-platform compatibility for Mac, PC, and Linux environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand integration requirements with existing biometric collection systems.
• Conduct and participate in a technical review and interview process with project leadership.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in AI model development, with successful previous AI project implementations.
• Expertise in image analysis, machine learning, and biometric data interpretation.
• Strong understanding of digital and physical image processing.
• Ability to create a robust, cross-platform compatible product.
• Flexibility to work in a part-time capacity (20 hours/week), with autonomy over work hours and location.

Nice to Have Skills

• Familiarity with biometric information collection software.
• Background in forensic or law enforcement image analysis.
• Experience in multi-environment software integration (e.g., compatible with Mac, PC, Linux).
