Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is highly impactful—you'll build and enhance core components of our telemedicine platform, including customizable onboarding flows that shape the patient journey and robust billing systems leveraging the Stripe API. You'll thrive if you are a self-starter who can independently investigate challenges, propose innovative solutions, and drive projects forward with minimal oversight.

Qualifications:

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently research, evaluate, and propose solutions.
• Experience implementing Stripe billing APIs for subscription, invoicing, and payments.
• Extensive experience with RESTful API design and implementation, including knowledge of API best practices, security, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in MongoDB: database design, optimization, and management.
• Expertise in Node.js: building scalable server-side applications.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git, and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger, Postman, or OpenAPI.
• Knowledge of API gateway technologies such as AWS API Gateway.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, particularly as they relate to API deployment and monitoring.
• Understanding of caching strategies and technologies such as Redis or Memcached for optimizing API performance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable APIs.
• Build customizable onboarding flows to optimize patient and clinician experiences.
• Integrate and manage Stripe billing APIs for seamless subscription and payment workflows.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure API security, including implementing authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following best practices and standards.
• Optimize API performance, including latency, throughput, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API functionality, performance, and integration.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and technical leadership.
• Continuously investigate new technologies and propose improvements to strengthen our platform.
