Meet Tulip is a B2B healthcare platform designed for medical professionals, offering an AI-powered integrative medicine database. After three years of development, the platform is nearing completion, with a beta version currently being tested by doctors.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to help enhance our platform by developing AI-driven algorithms and integrating LLM APIs. This role requires expertise in LLMs, AI model optimization, and healthcare data analysis. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can leverage the latest AI tools to accelerate development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize machine learning algorithms for healthcare applications.
• Work with LLMs and AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, Mistral) to enhance platform capabilities.
• Fine-tune and integrate GPT-based models for improved performance.
• Implement predictive analytics for healthcare data insights.
• Collaborate with the backend team to ensure seamless API and database integration.

Requirements

Must-Have:

• Strong experience in machine learning and LLM API integration.
• Proficiency in Python for AI model development and API implementation.
• Experience working with GPT-based models, NLP, and AI-powered automation.
• Ability to fine-tune and optimize AI models for efficiency and accuracy.
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB) for LLM applications.
• Time zone overlap with Pacific Time until 1-2 PM PT (preferably Latin America-based).

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of backend development (FastAPI, Django, Flask, Node.js).
• Experience deploying AI models on cloud platforms.
• Understanding of healthcare data security & compliance (HIPAA preferred).
• Prior experience in a B2B healthcare or AI-driven SaaS environment.
