Linux DevOps & Backend Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Linux DevOps & Backend Engineer to effectively bridge our frontend web application with an on-premises GPU media node (HP Omen). Your expertise will ensure seamless integration and operation of streaming services.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Owncast/OBS RTMP/HLS pipelines to facilitate high-quality streaming solutions.
• Set up and maintain systemd daemons to ensure reliable system operations.
• Configure a reverse proxy with SSL to enhance security and streamline access to the media node.
• Integrate backend APIs to support sovereign streaming, ensuring efficient data flow and processing.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Linux systems and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in configuring RTMP/HLS pipelines and related streaming technologies.
• Expertise in setting up and managing systemd daemons.
• Experience with configuring reverse proxies and implementing SSL.
• Familiarity with backend API integration and development.

Nice to Have

• Experience with media nodes, particularly HP Omen.
• Knowledge of advanced streaming technologies and protocols.
