Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to building and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications that serve millions of users. Our core tech stack is built using Django and Python for the backend, with React handling the frontend, and the entire project hosted on AWS. You will be expected to dive deep into this ecosystem, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative features and ensure system reliability. This position requires a passion for problem-solving and a commitment to creating exceptional products. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django (or similar frameworks like FastAPI or Flask).
• Optimise database interactions with strong DBMS knowledge, ensuring efficient data handling and query performance.
• Lead technical initiatives, including architecture decisions, code reviews.
• Collaborate on frontend integrations with React to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Implement and manage DSP (Demand Side Platform) API to deliver great user experiences.
• Deploy and monitor applications on AWS, troubleshooting issues in a production environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations to address critical bugs and maintain system uptime.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with building scaled systems from scratch
• Proven expertise in Python programming, with a strong portfolio of hands-on projects.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, demonstrated through complex algorithmic challenges or real-world applications.
• Solid knowledge of Database Management Systems (DBMS), including relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, and NoSQL options.
• Experience with web frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask, including -building and deploying production-grade applications.
• Hands-on experience with projects involving backend development, API design, and integration.
  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
