Lead React/Next.js Headless Shopify Engineer

Role Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Lead React/Next.js Engineer, collaborating with an architect and a skilled Product Design team with extensive e-commerce and Shopify expertise. The patterns and extensible parts we develop will be replicated into related projects within the parent company for years to come.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of scalable and dynamic components utilizing Next.js for a headless Shopify build.
• Collaborate with the Product Design team to ensure alignment with business goals and vendor requirements.
• Both create for other developers and work from detailed tickets to implement features using Next.js’s Commerce starter and Tailwind CSS.
• Integrate Bloomreach CMS and develop maintainable components.
• Utilize AI code tools to enhance development efficiency when applicable.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience (6-8+ years) in building extensible, dynamic components with Next.js and headless Shopify.
• Proficiency in structuring codebases with a focus on maintainability and performance.
• Strong leadership abilities to bridge business requirements with technical solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-driven development tools and strategies.
• Familiarity with Bloomreach CMS integration and component maintenance.
