RegClear is a regulatory and compliance startup dedicated to simplifying regulatory filings for small to medium-sized companies. Our mission is to streamline the submission of regulatory forms, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while minimizing complexity for our clients.

About the Role

We have a web application that will simply the submission of regulatory forms that need to fit XML Schema. You will be the lead developer and advise on the scope and scale of the project to create the application, test in a sandbox and then deploy the application to the live REST API all in the XML schema.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a web application designed to simplify the submission of regulatory forms for small to medium-sized companies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and milestones.
• Advise on the architecture and design of the application, ensuring compatibility with XML Schema and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement robust testing procedures to ensure the reliability, security, and accuracy of the application.
• Test the application in a sandbox environment to validate functionality and identify potential issues.

Required skills

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on backend development and API integration.
• Proficiency in XML Schema and experience working with XML-based data formats.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Experience with web development frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Express.js.
• Familiarity with database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience working in the regulatory or compliance domain.
• Familiarity with regulatory filings and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy best practices.
